All the time, God is great!
It is my last day of vacation. I had a great vacation. Who wouldn't being off work, and at the beach, doing whatever. Not having to work, not having to do much of anything. I love the water. We had a wonderful suite, not lacking anything.....well, I would have loved the whirlpool tub, but it was my own fault for not calling the resort to make sure I was getting one. We had a great time, and we hated to come back.
So, today I had some business to take care of. Once again, God took care of me. It was a small surprise, but it was very good, and just what I needed. You see, God does answer our prayers. God answers prayers in many different ways. God knows the BEST way to answer our prayers. For this particular situation, He knows that these little things that are just enough and just in time, is what I need. If He did it differently, He knows I would screw it up.
He knows I have some major decisions ahead of me. He knows I will have to weather some storms. He knows though, that if I do nothing, that my life won't be any different. He has shown me that even though some of these things will be very difficult, that once I get to the other side, I will be much happier.
So, soon I will be going to bed to get ready to go back to work. I already know thanks to a co-worker (who is also one of my pastors) that it will be a tough couple of weeks. But, I know that we will get through, and we will do all we can. I know that God will be right there with me.

A certain situation
I have been going through a situation for awhile now that I don't understand. The specifics doesn't matter, but the lesson is what is important. I totally believe that God allows us to go thru situations to help us to grow.
I know there are things that I need to change about myself. But, change is not easy. It is easier to just keep doing what you are doing. But, as I saw on a new friends myspace page today, "Repeating the same actions will never produce different results." Think about that one! "Repeating the same actions will never produce different results." That means that if we aren't willing to change, we will never get anything more. Now, how many of us are happy right where we are. Yes, we can be happy where we are, but everyone has things they would like to change.
So, the real question may be "How badly do we want to get past our situations?" Bad enough to change??? How can we expect others to change if we aren't willing to change. Maybe if we change, then they won't need to change. Maybe we are the problem?
If you think about it, God doesn't want us to stay put where we are, either. God has many gifts for us. He gives us gifts every day, starting by just waking us up. But, some gifts we aren't ready for. Some gifts can only be truly appreciated if we have came through certain storms.
As I close, I am praying and asking Jesus to help me. To show me where I need to change (besides those places I know about already), and to help me to make the change. I know it won't be easy. I am sure I will slip and slide along the way. But, I know I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

God is always with us
Lately I have been praying about my future. I have been praying about several areas of my life. I have faith that God will answer my prayers. I know He will, but I am not a very patient person. In one area of my life, I just don't see how He is going to get me through. I don't see any way for this issue to be resolved easily. I still don't. But, today, I received something that I did not expect. No way, no how. I wasn't even supposed to get it. But, I guess God decided that I needed it, and that He would reward me. Now, it won't answer my prayer totally for that area of my life, but it is a start. It is like getting a mustard seed....because I know that the rest of the answer will follow, if I only have faith! God is Great, All the Time!
